The Big Brother 9 Winner must be having the time of his or her life now that season in the series is over. Imagine being crowded together in a house with a bunch of other people where you constantly have to best each other and take orders from a disembodied voice that is known only as Big Brother. Many reality shows have gone into the format that inevitably involves houses and people's lives. If one reality show is not following some D list celebrity into their homes and fixing a camera into their lives then they are inevitably herding a whole bunch of people to live in the same house for months, unless of course they are getting them to survive on a deserted island where they have to do without their rich toys.

So what should be next for the Big Brother 9 Winner now that that contest is over? Perhaps there should be a contest among all the past winners where they have to compete against each other for even more money. For most people who win reality television shows, most of them just fade into oblivion after the series is over. In the first place, they are just ordinary people who probably do not have any special talents, and really special talents are hardly the criteria for getting picked to go on a reality show. The main requirements are ruthlessness and attractiveness which makes for interesting television and a steady supply of conflict that are sure to get viewers hooked to the program.

In the future it is said that everyone is going to get fifteen minutes of fame. That said, some people tend to overstay their welcome and torture their viewers with a much longer thirty minute series until they fade rightfully into oblivion. Actually, given the average attention span, many people now are no longer able to pay attention to anything that is for more than ten minutes at a time. This must be why videos are in snippets of only a little more than ten minutes each, the longest Youtube video probably clocking in at only over fifteen minutes. For those who think that they can get a career in showbiz by joining the band wagon and hitching on to reality television, they should rethink it. If they are in it for the prize money then they may have a shot, otherwise they should start vocalizing and audition for American Idol.
